On the evening of 4th of July we went to a Boat Parade in town. The tradition of this parade has been around since the 1800's. It was a late night the parade started at 9pm but actually started closer to 9:30pm. There was a very nice concert before-hand. Someone at the event gave away free glow stick necklaces - which of course the children loved. Janice danced on the grass to the music. Philip and Nate had fun rolling their glow stick necklaces down the hill and chasing after them.

Here you can see the lighted boats on the pond and the crowd
watching from shore. It really was beautiful.
A great way to celebrate our Independence.
